I have always been enamored of courtyard buildings.
I know that technically this container is not in the shape of a cornucopia, none the less what a fantastic wealth of flowers, a surprise treat for people walking by on the sidewalk.
Lawn Free Zone!
This is an amazing garden. The gardener has integrated a number of elements; change in slope, materials (stone, bark, wood,) a wide variety of native plants, and an attractive fence into a naturalistic garden plan that will continue to delight in every season.
Look at this smart, stylish use of rock.
This artisan did an amazing job of pulling together a entryway, two retaining walls, stairs, and a garden sitting area, into a very attractive environment.
Welcome to “Historic Oregon City”
Over the weekend I had the pleasure of going on a walking tour of Oregon City with Peter Chausse. Peter is an instructor with The Heritage Institute / Antioch University. He has owned and operated, “Peter’s Walking Tours of Portland,” since 1995. (Peter is a natural teacher, the tour was informative, well organised, and very enjoyable. I look forward to future tours- I hear he does some great ones of Portland.- ) If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend you book a tour with Peter. http://www.walkportland.com/
